It's all good in the Badlands National Park

So we had a little trouble figuring out what the deal is with the 'badlands'. You see, most of the maps we looked at called the badlands as sort of a generic area but there is actually a Badlands National Park. Its HUGE. Like almost Yellowstone huge. We caught it after our visits to Custer and Crazy horse therefore the sun was going down and we were able to see a rather impressive sunset. The park itself is located at the southern-most point of our travels.

Cool pic of Mike with sun setting in background. Nice shot Chad!

Many, many, many years of erosion.

Quick Geology lesson. Each later of color represents a different time period. That's all I remember from the information placard...Oh and something else out 18 different native soils or something or other.
