Stayin' Alive on 85

On the way out of Watford, ND we were driving on Interstate 85 which was under construction at the time. Without pavement the road was EXTREMELY mucky with wet clay. No joke; it was at least 12 inches deep of muck. The silver bullet van was bobbing back and forth at the same time as a tanker truck comes flying down the hill. Like not slowing down at all. At the moment I suggested we turn around or pull over, Chad screams; "NOOOO....Keeeeepppp the moooommmeeeeennnttuummm!!!!" At the gas station we fuel up and talk to a delirious shell-shocked Tony who was behind us. If my memory serves me correctly his very serious quote was; "Um. That was not funny. Really. Word" At the gas station we potty break and fuel up on sugary snacks. I engage in a conversation with the gas station attendant about the capitals of both South Dakota and Massachusetts.

Note the truck blasted clay on our van.

Video of us laughing nervously on our way to safety on 85.
